Malpelo Island

Malpelo Island (Spanish: Isla de Malpelo) is an island located 314 miles off Colombia's Pacific coast at 4°08′ N 81°30′ W (http://kvaleberg.com/extensions/mapsources/index.php?params=4_08_N_81_30_W_). A Colombian military garrison has been located there since 1986 and it is designated as a plant and wildlife sanctuary.
