Leskov Island

Leskov Island (56°40′ S 028°10′ W (http://kvaleberg.com/extensions/mapsources/index.php?params=56_40_S_028_10_W_)) is less than 1.5 km (1 mi) long, lying 48 km (30 mi) west of Visokoi Island in the South Sandwich Islands. Discovered in 1819 by a Russian expedition under Bellingshausen, who named it for the third lieutenant on the expedition ship Vostok.
