This article is about the currency kwanza. For the African-American holiday, see Kwanzaa.
The (new) kwanza is the official currency of Angola as of 2000. The new kwanza replaced the kwanza at a rate of 1 to 1000. One new kwanza is equivalent to 100 lwei.
