Krishna Raja Sagar

Krishna Raja Sagar is a dam built across Kaveri River, near Mysore in southern India's Karnataka state. There is an exquisite garden attached to the dam, called Brindavan gardens, making it a popular tourist place and picnic location.

The Dam
The Dam was built across river Kaveri, the life river for Mysore and Mandya districts. Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya served as the chief engineer.
The Brindavan Gardens
The Brindavan Garden is an exquisite garden that has a beautiful biological park, full of exciting fountains. There's even a musical fountain that entertains tourists visiting this garden. Various biological research departments are housed here. There is a guest house for tourists.
History
Diwans of Mysore planned this exquisite garden and constructed it. The place has been attracting tourisits ever since.
