Krishna Pal

Krishna Pal (born Calcutta 1764- died 1822) was the first Indian convert to Christianity due to the missionary activity of William Carey and co-workers, the founder of the Baptist Missionary Society. After conversion, and baptism in the River Ganges in December 1800, he renounced his caste.

Krishna Pal preached the gospel for twenty years before his death in 1822.
