Kevin Drum

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

Kevin Drum (born October 19, 1958) is an American political blogger and columnist from Irvine, California. Currently, he writes daily on the prominent blog Political Animal, published by the Washington Monthly. He also writes occasional op-eds in newspapers such as the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. He rose to prominence through the popularity of his (now-defunct) independent liberal blog CalPundit.

He has a degree in journalism from California State University, Long Beach.

Stylistically, his blog is known for offering original statistical or graphical analysis (unusual for the genre). It is also credited with pioneering the trend of "Friday cat blogging". [1] (http://tech2.nytimes.com/mem/technology/techreview.html?res=9805E6DE123DF93BA15753C1A9629C8B63)
