Julia E. Smith Parker Translation

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

This was the first complete Bible translation by a woman. The work is a literal version, always translating a Greek or Hebrew word with the same word wherever possible. Mrs. Parker accomplished this work on her own. She was possibly the only person to have done this, although Charles Thompson's translation is considered to have been his work alone.
