A new $18 million building housing the departments of art and architecture as well as the college library was recently the subject of an international competition. The winning design (http://www.shortandassociates.co.uk/page.asp?pi=34) by Alan Short, Professor of Architecture at Cambridge University, is currently (2005) under construction. When completed, the building is expected to be one of the most energy-efficient in the United States.
