Hydrogen halide

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

Hydrogen halides are formed by the redox reaction of hydrogen and the halide group elements (fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine) to form, for example hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride.

Hydrogen halides exist in gas form and turn steamy when exposed to moist air.
