Gustav Ludwig Hertz

Gustav Ludwig Hertz (July 22 1887, Hamburg – October 30 1975, Berlin) was a German physicist, and a nephew of Heinrich Rudolf Hertz. He won a Nobel Prize in 1925 for studies in cooperation with James Franck of electrons passing through gas.
He was the father of Carl Hellmuth Hertz.
