GM-AvtoVAZ

GM-AvtoVAZ is a joint venture between General Motors and AvtoVAZ set up in 1999. It produces Chevrolet Niva, based on Lada Niva, and Chevrolet Viva, based on 1998 Opel Astra.
A new engine plant is rumored to be considered. It will produce Ecotec Family 1 engines using the equipment transferrend from Szentgotthard, Hungary plant.
