G17 Plus

G17 Plus is a political party in Serbia, espousing neo-liberal economic policies, consisting of former members of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia. Its core is a group of 17 economists, led by Miroljub Labus, and it functioned as a pressure group before it became a political party in 2003. At the last legislative elections, 28 december 2003, the party won 11.5 % of the popular vote and 34 out of 250 seats. 3 of these seats went to the Social Democratic Party. Speaker of National Assembly of Serbia, Predrag Markovic is member of G17 Plus. He was also constitutional interim acting president in 2004.
