Front Street
From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.
Front Street is an east-west street in downtown Toronto. The street marks the rough outline of the original shoreline of Lake Ontario, since filled in the late 19th and early 20th Century. Famous sites that are located on Front Street include the Royal York Hotel and Union Station.
The street beings at Parliament Street (east of Parliament the street is Eastern Avenue) and ends at Bathurst.
Recent plans to extended Front Street to Dufferin Street have been opposed by property owners whom require to hand over land to allow for the extension.
