The Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center is a branch of the United States Navy specializing in computational and numerical weather prediction. An outgrowth of the Navy Numerical Weather Project, they operate some of the most powerful supercomputers in North America. The center is located in Monterey, California.
