Firm Bound in Brotherhood

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

Firm Bound in Brotherhood is the official song of the Order of the Arrow, the honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. It was written by the order's founder, E. Urner Goodman, in 1921 and is sung to the tune of God Save the Tsar by Alexei Fyodorovich Lvov. The song is traditionally sung in a circle where the members cross their arms symbolizing the links in a chain.

Lyrics

Firm bound in brotherhood, gather the clan
That cheerful service brings to fellow man.
Circle our council fire, weld tightly every link
That binds us in brotherhood, Wimachtendienk.
