Fire point

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

The fire point, or kindling point, of a substance is the temperature at which it combusts and continues to burn of its own accord. This means that the evaporation rate is high enough to produce new vapor-air mixture at least at the same rate as it is burned. The fire point is distinct from the flash point.
