Federal districts of Russia

All of the federal subjects of Russia are grouped into seven federal districts (Russian: федеральные округа, sing. федеральный округ; English transliteration: federalnyye okruga, sing. federalny okrug), each administered by a governor appointed by the president of the federation.

1. On December 1, 2005, Perm Oblast and Permyakia will be merged to form Perm Krai.
