Evian

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

The Evian logo shows the name below a range of shaded mountains.

Evian is a brand of mineral water from a source near Évian-les-Bains, France. It is owned by Groupe Danone.

In France, Évian is one of the most common brands of bottled water.

Evian's logo is the subject of a good many jokes, including how its name spelled backwards is "naive" as shown here.

In the United States, Evian is known to be one of the more expensive brands of bottled water, and at times is available in high class restaurants. Evian spelled backwards is Naive, which means Evian has been the subject of many jokes. Another subject of jokes is the fact that they claim that “beauty comes from a bottle,” and also the trademark label, which translated, reads “Evian is a registered trademark of the Anonymous Society of Evian Mineral Water.” Not only do high class restaurants stock Evian, but the fast-food outlet McDonalds does as well, and at a higher price than retail stores.

Since 2002, it has been marketed and distributed by Coca-Cola in North America (United States and Canada).
