Ernesto Cortissoz International airport

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport, services the city of Barranquilla, Colombia and owes its name to one of the pioneers of Colombian aviation, Ernesto Cortizzos. It is located in the municipality of Soledad, about 7 km south of the city.

Its geographical location, coupled with good weather most days of the year should enable it to become a major regional/international hub. Currently this is not the case, due to political and economic circumstances in Colombia.
