Erie Community College, or ECC, is a two-year community college sponsored by SUNY and Erie County, New York. The college serves Erie County and the surrounding area of western New York.

The college has three main campuses, located in Amherst, Buffalo, and Orchard Park. ECC offers programs in many areas and specializes in allied health professions. It has coordinating programs with many four-year colleges, which allow students to continue their studies at other schools and obtain a bachelor's degree.

Erie Community College offers associate's degrees (in Arts, Sciences, or Applied Sciences) for its two year programs. The college also has special one-year programs and awards a Certificate on completion.

The college is the most affordable in its area and provides a small-class environment for its courses.

The ECC athletic teams (18 varsity sports) are called the "Kats."

The college began as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Buffalo in 1946. A few years after it joined the State University system in 1948, it became Erie County Technical Institute in 1953. In 1960 the college moved to the North Campus (Amherst) location. In 1968 the name was changed to the present designation. The City Campus (Buffalo) opened in 1971, and the South Campus (Orchard Park) opened in 1974.
