Decilitre

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

A decilitre (or deciliter), abbreviated dL or dl, is one tenth of a litre, or 1×10−4 m3, or 100 millilitre. The SI prefix "deci" stands for one-tenth. A cup of coffee contains roughly one decilitre. While the unit is not used very much, it occurs in the common measure mg/dL which is used for the glucose concentration in blood.
