David Nelson (actor)

David Nelson was the son of famed bandleader/TV actor Ozzie Nelson and singer Harriet Hilliard. David was the brother of singer Ricky Nelson. David himself was an actor, director and producer.
David Oswald Nelson was born on October 24, 1936 in New York, New York. The son of Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard, David got his start on his father’s show, “The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet” in the 1950s and 1960s.
In time, both Ricky and David attempted separated film careers and found moderate success in several big-budget 1950s films. By 1966, however, the Nelson sons were hard-pressed to find a large popular following. Ricky ventured into country music where he had sporadic success until his 1985 death in a plane crash and David moved into production, working mainly in commercials and low-budget features.
David Nelson was married twice. His first wife was June Blair (1961 -- ?). They had 1 child, Teri, and divorced years later (the year is unknown). In 1975, David married Yvonne O’Connor Huston. They have no children.
