D. Z. Phillips

D. Z. Phillips is Danforth Professor of the Philosophy of Religion at Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, California, and Rush Rhees Research Professor at the University of Wales, Swanseaa. He has published widely in Philosophy of Religion and edits Philosophical Investigations.
He has published twenty books and articles in philosophy of religion, ethics, philosophy and literature, and Wittgenstein. His latest books are From Fantasy to Faith; Interventions in Ethics; Wittgenstein and Religion; Introducing Philosophy; Philosophy's Cool Place; Recovering Religious Concepts; and Religion and the Hermeneutics of Contemplation.
The endowed lectures he has given include the Cardinal Mercier Lectures (Leuven), Marett Lecture (Oxford), Riddell Lectures (Newcastle), McMartin Lectures (Ottowa), Hintz Lecture (Tucson), and the Aquinas Lecture (Oxford), and Vonhoff Lectures (Groningen).
