Commune (intentional community)

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

A Commune is a kind of intentional community where most resources are shared and there is little or no personal property. This includes communes devoted to peace and the environment, military, religious and political communes. The best known communes in the modern world are the kibbutzim of Israel. There are also many communes currently active outside Israel, they're often referred to as egalitarian communities.
