Centre-right

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

In politics, the term centre-right is commonly used to describe and denote political parties or organisations that are moderately right-wing, as opposed to 'extreme' right wings beliefs such as fascism.

Such a definition generally includes political parties that base their ideology and policies upon conservative or Christian democratic beliefs.

Examples of centre-right political parties and organisations include the British Conservative party, the CDU of Germany, Forza Italia in Italy, UMP in France, the Republican Party (United States), the Liberal Party of Australia and the Conservative Party of Canada.
