Central of Georgia Railway

The Central of Georgia Railroad was contructed to join the Macon and Western Railroad at Macon, Georgia to the Atlantic coastal railroads at Savannah, Georgia. Creating a rail link from Chattanooga, TN on the Tennessee River to ports on the Atlantic Ocean. The famous passenger train, the Nancy Hanks which ran from Atlanta to Savannah used this road south of Macon.
