The Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens (75 acres) are a new arboretum and botanical gardens on a site leased from Hawkeye Community College, located at 1927 East Orange Road, Waterloo, Iowa. They are open to the public Monday through Saturday; an admission fee is charged.
The Gardens began in 1995. Their plan includes an arboretum, botanical gardens, prairie, and a conservatory. At present 24 acres are under development, with an additional 15 acres of prairie, and over 450 trees native to Iowa have been planted in the Sesquicentennial Forest honoring the state's 150th anniversary.
