Cathy Jones

Catherine Frederica Theresa Jones (born April 6, 1955) is an actress and comedian, also well known as her stage name, Cathy Jones. Her brother is Andy Jones; she was born in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Jones has become a household name in Canadian comedy through her 11 years as one of the stars and as a founding member of the legendary comedy troupe "CODCO".
In 1992, she began to work with former co-star Rick Mercer and former CODCO co-stars Mary Walsh and Greg Thomey to create a new television series, which became This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
She has earned 10 Gemini Awards and two Canadian comedy awards for Best Writing In A Comedy Series for her work on 22 Minutes.
