This de-subcategorization is so lame I'm nearly speechless - somehow this proposal got by under my radar, and now botanists are unlike every other occupational category of comparable size. As you can see, the category is already too large to be displayed all at once, and the decategorization process deleted useful nationality info that had been painstakingly added by dozens of people, so now for instance the Category:French people is now incomplete - not all French people can be found by going to subcategories.
