Bunia

Bunia is the district headquarters of Ituri district of Orientale Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, lying north of Mount Hoyo and west of Lake Mobutu.
The Ituri River flows on the south of the Bunia town at about a distance of 20 km. The Shari River meets Ituri river about 10 km south west of Bunia town.
The town is at the center of the Ituri conflict between the Lendu and Hema.
