Boutilimit

Boutilimit (Arabic: بوتلميت) is the most important religious centre in Mauritania. The town lies about 200 km south east of Nouakchott. Its Qur'anic school is known for its library, and the town is also a centre of rug making.

Notable people from the town include Moktar Ould Daddah.
