- I would like to know the credibility of Al Andalus on his report regarding the Demographics of the Philippines. It appears he doesn't know the colonial history of the Philippines and his idea is based on the fiction books Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. I also want to know his current location, if he was born and raised in the Philippines and his educational attainment.

I was wondering about a couple of other things that might be included here, but I'm not completely sure they belong:
- How to contact Jimbo directly
- How to use user talk pages and the 'email this user' link to contact particular people.

- Jimbo gets enough mail already, IMO. Best to filter that through us somehow first.
- That is a good idea. But I think that can just be added to the 'article content' section since this page is aimed primarily at ultra-newbies.

- That's true, but then there have been complaints in the past with people saying they don't know how to contact him.

Vandalism contacts
- Since Biocrawler is a wiki we get our share of vandalism. If you see vandalism to a page then please revert the page to its last version (see: Biocrawler:How to revert a page to an earlier version for details). If you do that and the user is still vandalizing pages, then please alert other Biocrawlerns about this on our Vandalism in progress page. Then, if needed, a Biocrawler Administrator may block the IP address or user name of the vandal.
Is this necessary? I know people sometimes contact us about spelling errors and suchlike, but I'm unaware of any non-Biocrawlerns contacting us about vandalism. Martin 23:48, 8 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Being blocked from editing
Sometimes it becomes necessary to block the IP address of a troublesome user. Rarely, however, that user may share the same IP address with another person trying to edit Biocrawler.
If you are such a person, you should follow the directions on the 'Blocked user' message that is displayed when you try to edit. You can also directly contact a Biocrawler Administrator by visiting Biocrawler:Administrators#List of administrators (look for Administrators who have "email" links by their user names, then use those links).

Right now I am troubled by a person vandalising, 'Asspus' I have tried all but throwing my computer through the window, the darned thing keeps popping up, if the where abouts of the person who is doing this is known, I would suggest that a visit with a hunk of wood to beat some common sence into their tiny brains would be far more productive than blocking them, and yes, it has destroyed what I hoped to be a pleasurable visit to my favorite site. richnbear, Brisbane Australia 1800hrs 19th.April 2005

I can certainly appreciate rules and guide-lines, they tend to keep us civilized. I'd even go so far as to say that a little frustration builds up character. But CL can be both omnipotent and a brick wall at most times. Trust me, I appreciate all the love and consideration CL has afforded me, in between their take downs (flags). Never having been, one who looks for short cuts, and having a firm grasp of the English language, I'm totally perplexed as to what on earth I am doing wrong? Flagging I do understand. I fully realize that Flaggers had a tough childhood, their lunch money being taken away daily and having to run home from school every day to avoid a beating. Today, no one tells them what to do, or not to do. I get it. But when the CL Staff Editors (fancy name for a grown up flagger)remove listings one after the other, I've got to ask myself, is it me, or what? I sell a product. This product has helped well over 100 CL'ers (I have several God Bless you and CL thank you emails) for providing something only I manufacture on this entire planet. I have a Google 6 PR, an eBay 100% feedback with a Pay Pal 200+. But as far as CL Editors are concerned (and I'm guessing) is that it is SPAM or something else. On one hand they say repost if you think you're correct. On the other hand you’re warn of being blacklisted? Duh? I'm just trying to get along in this world, help a few people with a serious unsolvable problem and maybe put a Frank or two in my pocket. CL sure don't make it easy. But why should they? Just maybe because those Editors are the same kids whose mothers had to pick them up after school to protect them? They know who they are. It’s obvious they sure couldn’t qualify for a real job. Now to solve or potentially quit pissing off good intended people with a pacifier of sorts. I'm a retired CTO (Chief Technology Officer) with a who's who resume. I get $300 per hour thank you. Keep all your rules as they are, only when someone gets flagged, send them to the Flagged Today category. It may just end up being one of the more popular categories. Ya Think? How to review past personal contributions
As a non-member, I have added several contributions to the discussion pages with regard to a number of templated topics --all contributions having the general theme "oracle bead chronicles and their effects'. Because oracle beads are very tiny, it is no surprise when other people are totally non-cognitive about the existence of the archeological artifact.
I did not print-out or otherwise transcribe my contributions and am hoping that they can yet be accessed from your archives. I can find most of them, but over time and with much operative skepticism it is probable that some have been removed from the public view and stored away somewhere in your computer files...or worse?
Can you provide access so that our contributions can be trans-cribed or verbally audiotaped after-the-fact of submission? Although I am now a member and my contributions can be accessed with a special keyword, those entries which I contributed before membership are hoped to be stored away somewhere, as well. How can I review and re-gain access to those pre-membership contributions so that I can accurately transcribe or audiotape them for my own files? beadtot@aol.com
