Bhimashankar, located in the forested hills of Pune district in Maharashtra, India. It is home to an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the twelve esteemed Jyotirlinga shrines. The area around the temple is part of the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary.
