Banfora

Banfora is a city in south western Burkina Faso with a population of around 50,000 people. It has grown around the sugar cane industry and lies on the AbidjanOuagadougou railway. It is one of the main tourist destinations in Burkina Faso, providing easy access to the waterfalls, the hippo-filled lake of Tengrela and the Peaks of Sindou - a unique natural-rock formation, popular with climbers.
