Banfora

Banfora is a city in south western Burkina Faso with a population of around 50,000 people. It has grown around the sugar cane industry and lies on the Abidjan – Ouagadougou railway. It is one of the main tourist destinations in Burkina Faso, providing easy access to the waterfalls, the hippo-filled lake of Tengrela and the Peaks of Sindou - a unique natural-rock formation, popular with climbers.
