Ascraeus Mons is the northernmost of three volcanos (collectively known as Tharsis Montes) on the Tharsis bulge near the equator of the planet Mars. To its south is Pavonis Mons, and south of that is Arsia Mons. The largest volcano in the solar system, Olympus Mons, is to its northwest.

Ascraeus Mons is considered to be one of the tallest volcanoes on Mars. Its summit is more than eleven km high. It was formed from relatively liquid lavas.fr:Ascraeus Mons
