Argyll Robertson pupil

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

(Redirected from Argyll-Robertson pupil)

In medical terminology, Argyll Robertson pupils are small, irregular pupils that accommodate but do not react normally to light. This means that while the eyes can focus on objects both near and far, the direct and consensual response to light are reduced or absent. These are usually, but not always caused by central nervous system complications of syphilis.
