Penne all'Arrabbiata is a famous Roman pasta dish.
Arrabbiata usually contains olive oil, onions, garlic, tomatoes, and a good amount of red hot chili peppers. The word arrabbiata literally means "angry" in Roman dialect, referring to the heat of the peppers.
Typically this sauce is served with penne (quills) pasta and is one of the classic spicy pasta sauces.
