Angels of the zodiac

The Zodiac is literally the "Circle of Animals", from the Greek zoion. Throughout history, various gods have been associated with various signs of the zodiac, so it seems natural to make an eventual shift from gods to angels when Christianity took over as the major religion in Europe. There is also a connection due to the stellar nature of both angels and the stars of the zodiac. The traditional correlations are as follows:
