Anadyr (Ана́дырь), formerly called Novo-Mariinsk, is the capital of Chukotka region, and is located at the mouth of the Anadyr River, at 64°42′ N 177°14′ E (http://kvaleberg.com/extensions/mapsources/index.php?params=64_42_N_177_14_E_). It has a population of about 10,000.
