American Hi-Fi
From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.
American Hi-Fi are an American punk rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. To date, they have released 3 studio albums and 1 live album. Their debut album, released in 2001, was the self-titled American Hi-Fi. It spawned the radio hit "Flavor of the Weak", which reached the top 50 in both the US and the UK. They then released a live album in 2002, titled Rock N Roll Noodle Shop/Live in Tokyo Japan. Their second studio album, The Art of Losing was then released in 2003, but this spawned only a minor single, the self-titled "The Art of Losing". They recently released a third studio album in early 2005, called Hearts on Parade.
During tours in 2004 and 2005, they opened up for Butch Walker, and also served as his back up band. The tour was appropriately titled "Clash of the Heavyweights".
In early spring of '05, they have been on tour with Bowling for Soup and Riddlin' Kids.
