Alemán Coloneiro

Alemán Coloneiro, or Colonia Tovar, is a dialect that belongs to the Low Alemannic branch of German.

The language, which like other Alemannic dialects is not intelligible with Standard German, is spoken by the descendants of German settlers in Venezuela. Most speakers also know Spanish, and their language has also some Spanish loanwords.
