Ahrensburgian culture

The Ahrensburgian culture is the name given by archaeologists to a Mesolithic archaeological culture from northern Germany and the Low Countries. It dates to around 8500 BCE and produced scrapers, burins and tanged arrowheads.

The type site is Ahrensburg near Hamburg in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein where wooded arrow shafts and clubs have been excavated.
