The Acrididae are a family of grasshoppers of the suborder Caelifera. The Acrididae are best known because all locusts (swarming grasshoppers) are of the Acrididae.

Taxonomy note
Subfamily Oedipodinae is sometimes classified as family Oedipodidae, beside the Acrididae under the superfamily Acridoidea.
