Abrantes

Abrantes is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 715.0 km² and a total population of 41,560 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 19 parishes, and is located in the district of Santarém.
The present Mayor is Nélson Marques Carvalho (Socialist) and the President of the Municipal Assembly is Jorge Lacão Costa (Socialist).
The municipal holiday is June 14.
