(Redirected from Abrahamic god)
The three so-called Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam have in common many beliefs about God. The term "Abrahamic God" is a convenient shorthand for "God as believed in by the Abrahamic religions". In Western cultures associated with the Abrahamic religions, the term "god" in "Abrahamic god" tends to be capitalised in reverence.
The Abrahamic religions are more or less agreed on the following points.
- There is one God; no more, no less.
- God is infinitely powerful and perfectly good.
- God created our universe and continues to interact with it, and especially with the human race.
