ASUW

Anti-surface warfare, or ASuW (sometimes anti-surface unit warfare or ASUW) is a type of naval warfare directed against surface ships, typically by other surface vessels or aircraft.
Attacks by submarines against surface vessels are typically not considered ASUW, unless perhaps they use weapons other than torpedoes, such as deck guns and submarine-launched missiles.
Some weapons used in ASUW include:
- Guns;
- and torpedoes.
