1080p

1080p is a resolution, 1920x1080 progressive.

Often referred to as "True High-Definition." What constitutes high definition or true high definition has evolved over time. While 1080p has been used in professional products for while it has been recently incorporated into some consumer products.

Selection of televisions with native 1080p displays is limited at this time.

Sony Qualia, Samsung and Mitsubishi all offer 1080p (1920X1080) capable displays rolling out in 2005. These were demonstrated at the January 2005 CES.
