Águeda is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 335.0 km² and a total population of 49,456 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of 20 parishes, and is located in the District of Aveiro.

The present Mayor is Nair Barreto Alves da Silva (Social Democrat) and the President of the Municipal Assembly is Horácio Alves Marçal (Social Democrat).

The municipal holiday is the Monday seven weeks after Easter.
